John Yunga - “Interrelationships of Forms”
Detachment
I really thought this one was eye catching due to the numerous shapes I drew in this art piece. It also really demonstrates the element "Detachment" due to all of the triangles being far apart from each other, which in the reading says that the shapes have to distant from each other to be considered "Detachment".
Touching
I enjoyed this artwork due to the background it's in for example for the clouds and the sun bring a realistic look. I would considered this as "Touching" because both triangles at the top edge are touching each other, even though the bottom doesn't look like it. I drew it like this so both triangles wouldn't be seen as one, so I add a bit of space so people can see that it's two triangles rather than one.
Overlapping
I believe this art work really shows it's form due to first triangle overlapping the second triangle and it really shows the what the reading says. I also drew two more examples of overlapping, which is not really noticeable due to them being shaded in but if you see it closely one circle is overlapping the other one.
Penetration
The background is inspired by my touching art work due to both being similar, for example they both have clouds and a sun but this time it's raining. I believe this shows "Penetration" because when both triangles intersect , the intersection is not shaded in, which is what the reading says when two shapes intersect the part where it shows they intersect is not shaded only the parts where they don't intersect are not suppose to be shaded.
Union
This design is my first artwork that is not a common shape, instead it shows the letter "I" and I really like how it's shaded because it's stands out then the other art pieces. I believe this shows "Union" because in the reading it says that "Union" are shapes that combine and make a unique figure different than other shapes. The shapes this figure represents are 3 rectangles because one is at the top, middle, and the bottom.
Subtraction
This art work was one of my favorite drawings to make because I had to try not to combine both rectangles, but instead make them apart from each other to show "Subtraction". I think my drawing shows "Subtraction" because both are combined but we can tell that their 2 rectangles due to one being shaded and the other is not, which people can easy tell that it demonstrates "Subtraction".
Intersection
This one is the difficult one to make because I had to measure both letter "V"'s so they perfectly intersect. Yes, this one shows the letter "V" if you didn't know. I shaded when both "V''s intersected to demonstrate the form "Intersection" and left the parts that are not intersected as white so people can not get confused to what intersected with what. This drawing can be considered as my messiest one if you haven't noticed already.
Coinciding
Finally, this drawing was the hardest one to draw out of all of them because of all the shading into this one simple huge shape. This one is also messy as you can see in the picture. This drawing shows "Coinciding" because in the reading there are examples about "Coinciding" and all of them show one single shape. This is because "Coinciding" are two shapes combined into one, which makes it look like one big shape.
